Math is inputted much in the same way as with \mathrm{L\!\!^{{}_{\scriptstyle A}} \!\!\!\!\!\;\; T\!_{\displaystyle E} \! X}. See WikiTex primer for a crash course. Mixing WikiTex and HTML-ized math generally looks terrible, so force rendering of formulas with \! at the end, e.g., <math>e^x\!</math>, which renders as e^x\,, instead of <math>e^x</math>, which yields ex. Some day the software will probably feature a TeX-to-MathML converter and everything will be dandy.

Conventions and notation

Best to be consistent with others. So unfortunately this means that a String theory article will use \eta_{\mu\nu} = \operatorname{diag}(-1,1,1,1...)\, while most Quantum field theory articles will use \eta_{\mu\nu} = \operatorname{diag}(1,-1,-1,-1...)\,, etc. When time permits this will become its own subsection.
